Celebrating Women this Month and Everyday!

Hey girl, we're celebrating you today! Thank you for not only being a follower of Ferne, but a fierce and strong woman! As a woman owned business ourselves, we strive to empower other women and give them a platform to express who they are. Your experience at Ferne is all about feeling welcomed, appreciated, confident and beautiful. Another way we empower women daily is by carrying several women owned brands right in our shops. Let's take a look at a few of them!

• AIYA: This Detroit based brand is owned by one of our own, Miranda, and her husband. They create to die for candles and unique home décor to tie together your home. We carry their candles in our stores and we can't get enough of them! They smell amazing. The best part is, they are hand poured right in their home, so you know everyone has their heart and souls poured into them (no pun intended). Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to an Oakmoss + Earth candle. Your house will smell incredible all day long.
  
  
• Anuja Tolia: As many of you already know, this woman owned brand designs stunning jewels that are perfect from everyday to a statement piece for your big day. Anuja designs every piece with a unique vision in mind. Her collections are meant to be worn together to create your own look and express who you are. Treat yourself to some new dainty jewels or gift them to a friend.
  
  
• Blocks by Heather: This Michigan based brand creates unique wood pieces from wall décor to baby gifts. We carry Heather's What's Trump blocks. They're perfect for all you Michiganders who plan euchre at all of your family functions. We all know that nobody can ever remember what trump is...especially if there is a drink or two involved. If you're looking for a gift add on, the euchre block is a great option!
  
  
• Olive and Indio: Jenelle, the owner of Olive and Indio is the definition of a boss babe. She does it all from being a mom, business owner to a social worker. Jenelle creates one of a kind, electroform jewelry. We carry her gorgeous gemstone rings in the shop. Each piece is different from the shape of the stone to how the copper is formed. • Open Bar Jewelry: A sister owned company featuring one of our own, Alex. Open Bar has been in business since 2016, creating bracelets and earrings inspired by cocktails, Michigan, and women in history. You can mix and match different collections to create your own stack or have them design a custom piece for you. • Rebel Nell: Where do we even begin with Rebel Nell? They are the epitome of women supporting women. Not only is it a women owned brand, but they employ women coming out of homelessness and women who were incarcerated. They help them turn their lives around and get them back on their feet. Rebel Nell is a jewelry brand that creates unique pieces from fallen graffiti in Detroit. They are all around an amazing company. Add a Rebel Nell piece to your jewelry collection, they are great everyday staples.
  
  
• Simply Curated: Yet another amazing candle company! Sarah creates refreshing scents to leave your house feeling cozy and serene. When she creates her scents she thinks about how she wants them to make you feel, that says a lot about her and her brand. Not only do they smell amazing, but they're aesthetically pleasing with the unique glass containers and wood wicks. Be sure to treat yourself to a Simply Curated candle next time you're in the shop.

That is just a small sample of the women owned brands that we have at Ferne. How amazing is it that we are blessed to carry so many in our shops?! It makes us so happy to have the privilege of knowing each of them and supporting their dreams.

Lastly, we wanted to feature this amazing crew. We have many custom crews from Detroit sports, Michigan, and Collegiate inspired designs. Hands down, our favorite custom to date is this Women Supporting Women crew. It means so much. I know life can be hectic and filled with drama, but at the end of the day, it's all about lifting one another up and supporting each other.

Empowered women, empower women. Always remember that. It's important that we all stick together to keep pushing to make this world a better place. We need to be there to help each other grow and crush our dreams. Hold onto your girl gang tight, let's all make a change and be better humans.
