Looking to have your family photos done soon? Michigan weather in the Fall is the perfect time to get outside and get some photos taken before it gets cold. You also can't beat the color palette in Fall clothes! The jewel tones and Fall colors, sweaters and jackets, it is truly the best season for fashion in the midwest.
We know it can be a daunting task getting everyone dressed and plan out the details of a photo shoot, so we have made it easy for you! We teamed up with My Urban Toddler, a children's boutique in Ann Arbor, MI where you can shop for kids clothes from newborn up to 12. They carry girls and boys clothes and you can easily get your outfits in person so you can touch and feel the garments.
Our first recommendation is to pick out your look first as the Mom. That way you can match the kids clothes with your clothes immediately and won't have any issues figuring out your fit at the end. Once you have your outfit and the kid(s) clothes, you can head straight to your partners closet to complete the look. If you are doing family photos with additional parents or grandparents, make sure to complete your own looks first so you can show them what the color palette and location plan is.
From there, you'll want to select a photographer that already shoots family photos. We recommend using Jen Geer Photography in Ann Arbor.
