A super fun and festive event happening in downtown Ann Arbor on the first Friday of December, December 1st. This is an annual event that we are always so excited about every year because it really kicks off the holiday season in Ann Arbor. Just a few blocks away, the Kerrytown business district has a similar event on the same night, called Kindlefest. Both events are so much fun, businesses are open late until 11 pm or 12 am and it's just such a fun and bustling evening.
Here's what to expect in 2023:
1. Sidewalk Music and Entertainment
From 7-9 p.m. there will be live music and entertainment performances on Main Street and surrounding streets downtown. Fun and festive painted windows, trees lit with holiday lights, it will be a dreamy look and feel.
2. Shopping and deals at all the stores
Pretty much every store downtown has something fun going on and worth stopping in for! Whether it is a sale on certain items, free gift with purchase or an activation, you can't go wrong making a plan to stop by all of your favorite spots. Ferne Boutique will have a free Ferne tote bag with any purchase over $50. This is a reusable tote that you can use for grocery shopping, regular shopping or just to use to carry all of your things. 3. Everything is open late!
The best part about this event on December 1st is that you can come to Downtown Ann Arbor earlier in the day, in the afternoon, or after work! The majority of businesses are open at their regular morning time until 11 pm or 12 am. There is so much to see and do in Downtown Ann Arbor.
