We couldn't think of a better way to start off Nurse's Week than featuring this amazing business. A mobile IV! Yup, you read that right! Let's learn about Lindsey and Ayurveda Hydration.
Let's meet Lindsey
I'm Lindsey, owner of Ayurveda Hydration. After earning a BS from U of M, I got my masters in nursing as a second degree option from the University of Toledo. I've been a registered nurse for over 6 years and got my start working in Detroit's emergency rooms.
Why did she start Ayurveda?
Although I love Detroit, it's people, and the excitement of the emergency room, I started to get burnt out with the traditional nursing position after working a few years full time. I saw a void and a need for an accessible IV drip service in the area, and decided to go for it. Being a nurse and having always focused on helping the truly sick, I was hesitant at the idea of only curing hangovers. However, this business has become so much more than that, and that's where our name ties in.
Ayurveda is an ancient tradition focused on finding your individual personal health and wellness balance. The Sanskrit word translates to mean balanced wellness, which is one of our core values as a business, although we are not Ayurvedic practitioners.
Where is Ayurveda based out of?
To make our services as accessible as possible we are a mobile service, meaning we come to you, wherever and whenever you need us most. Although we are centrally located in Detroit, we can travel as far south as Monroe, as far north as Grand Blanc, as far west as Ann Arbor, and as far east as New Baltimore.
Let's learn more about the services they offer
We offer 7 different IV drips and 6 different intramuscular booster shots. All of the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that we use are naturally occurring within the body and our services are meant to give your body the extra boost to bring you back to 100%. Our services are geared towards boosting energy, immunity, metabolism, athletic and medical recovery, as well as general health and wellness. You can book with us over the phone, on our website or on our app!
Lindsey's favorite part of her business
Since starting this business I feel like it has been just as much for my nurses as it has been for my patients. Being outside of the hospital I've finally had the time and opportunity to create real meaningful relationships with patients, nurses, and even other entrepreneurs in the area. Working in the hospital as a nurse you often feel unsupported by staff and management, so I have really tried to focus on fostering a constructive environment for my nurses and give them the tools that they need to be successful at their jobs.
What Lindsey has learned since starting Ayurveda Hydration
I've learned that sometimes you just need to go for things if they feel right, even if you don't think you're fully prepared or ready. You just have to trust yourself and figure out what works and what doesn't. There's nothing wrong with learning as you go.
Seriously, how incredible is Ayurveda?! We love the services they provide. They really do give you that extra boost you need and make you feel good as new. We cannot thank Lindsey and her team enough for all of their hard work. A huge thank you to all of our nurses on the frontline. We appreciate you all so much.
