Last weekend was National Lingerie Day, so this week was the perfect fit for this highlight. We interviewed Alexa, owner of Lex. and Co, a size inclusive lingerie shop in Downtown Bay City.
Let's get to know more about Alexa
I am a serial entrepreneur, women empower-er, grilled cheese aficionado and Harry Potter nerd. I have been a professional boudoir photographer for six years and have made it my life's goal to empower and inspire other women to be the best they can be.
Why did Alexa start Lex & Co.
Through my years of being a boudoir photographer I have noticed a distinct lack of size inclusive intimates options in the Great Lakes Bay region, so that is how Lex & Co was born. I wanted a place where women of all shapes and sizes could go and feel good about themselves.
Our store is located in Downtown Bay City. Just a few doors down from Ferne in the Davidson building, right across from Herman Hiss! We also have a website for people not local.
What you can look forward to in the future of Lex & Co.
We have a few things on the horizon for Lex & Co. Very soon we will be launching a body neutrality campaign, more details to come! One of our other goals for the next year is to do more education on bra fitting/sizing.
What inspires the products Alexa chooses for the shop?
I proudly carry an inclusive size range at Lex & Co with band sizing from 30 to 44 and cup sizes ranging from A to G. Many of our bodysuits go up to 3x/4x as well. I love working with smaller brands too because they pay extra special attention to detail and craftsmanship. We also have many companies that donate a portion of their profit to support different causes like domestic violence and body neutrality.

A little advice from Alexa
Whatever you do, do it authentically. Don't force yourself into a box because it's not the "right" or popular way to do it in business. We need all kinds!
There is nothing we love more than female empowerment. At Lex and Co. they do just that. If you're looking for an amazing bra or some sassy lingerie, definitely be sure to stop in. The Okko bra is AMAZING!
