Let's get to know Britney
My background is in Public Administration. I have a bachelors from Loyola University Chicago and obtained my Masters through Saginaw Valley. Outside of the bridal shop I work as a court administrator here in Bay County. My day jobs couldn’t be any more different!
Why did she start her business?
At the time we started Infinity Bridal there were a lot of things I knew I would want to see at a bridal shop if I were searching for my gown. There wasn’t a shop that offered an intimate and one on one experience in our area and this is something I loved about the bridal shops I had visited in Chicago. Of course you had large scale stores that had 100’s of beautiful gowns to choose from but that wasn’t the vibe I wanted. I wanted something personal and private. A place I would leave feeling like I was the most important bride that walked through the door that day. So that is what we tried to create with Infinity. An intimate personalized experience.
Infinity Bridal is located in Uptown Bay City! We asked Britney about any big dreams she had for the future: If we choose to expand someday I hope to own our own space/building. It was always my dream to open Infinity in the old Simmons Jewelers building downtown.
What inspires the designs Britney chooses for the shop?
We try to stay on track with trends and styles that we know brides are going to look for in the next 12-18 months. Our bridal gown design company, Justin Alexander, really takes the work out of this by providing us with 7 gown lines that are modern, chic, contemporary, bohemian, classic, etc. Lillian West is by far our favorite line from Justin. The gowns that come out of this line every season are always our best sellers.
What products you can find at Infinity
We sell bridal gowns, bridal accessories, bridesmaids, flower girls & special occasion gowns for mothers of the bride and groom. Everything is sold directly in the store. We do not provide any online sales as they are prohibited by our designers.
The most rewarding part of Britney's job
Making women feel beautiful and worthy of this amazing journey. Shopping for a wedding gown isn’t like shopping for a pair of jeans. This experience gives you an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone and try styles you never imagined wearing. It allows women to embrace their curviness and their imperfections because there is something magical about a wedding dress.
What Britney has learned since starting Infinity
I have learned to ask for help. I have learned that you may not get it right the first or second time you try something new. I have learned to take chances in my business. The worst that can happen is you fail. I have learned the importance of a team. No matter the size of your operation you need a team. Whether it be a support system, a financial advisor, a social media person, your dad building you new racks when they fall down or just a shoulder to cry on. YOU NEED A TEAM!
