Hello summer time! We hear from so many customers that they love the idea of a skirt, but they never know how to style them. We get it, it can be tough figuring out what to pair on top to work for your shape and the style of skirt. We’re here to help you style a skirt for summer, four-ways!
- A bodysuit is a great option to pair with any style skirt. They are fitted, and stay put so you don’t have to worry about it coming untucked constantly. If you’re looking for something simple, the Nico bodysuit is the perfect option. And it’ll be your go to you to style with jean shorts, trousers, and everything in between.
- A tank top is a another style that works great with a more flowy skirt. This is something that you can style tucked in if it’s a little bit longer, knot it up, or even wear a crop seamless tank. This will help keep you cool on those warm summer days. If you plan on going out with the girls, you can easily layer over a blazer or jacket for those cooler evenings. A more dressy tank that we recommend is the Do the Twist Tank. It has a twist halter style neckline. It will take even the most simplest skirt and give it that elevated feel. The Ondria Tank is possibly the softest top you will ever wear. It has a mock neck line, giving it that chic feel. This one has a nice fitted silhouette, making it the perfect option to style tucked into a skirt.
- This one’s for all you casual babes, who are looking for something easy for every day. A staple tee can style easily with a skirt. If your tee is more boxy, we recommend doing a bra tuck to give it that cropped feel, or find a cropped tee so you don’t have to worry about tucking it in or knotting it. The Only Me Top has a band at the bottom, so it holds it in place at your waist and icing in this one can easily be dressed up or down depending on the look you’re going for. We love to see a graphic tee styled with a midi skirt. Our it was better in the 90’s Tee with a satin midi skirt is the cutest summer fit!!!
- Lastly, a blouse can easily be paired with a skirt. If you’re wearing a more straight fit skirt, you can get away with a blouse that’s a little more flowy. However, if you’re wearing a pleated skirt, we recommend finding something that’s going to be a little more fitted so it creates more of a figure flattering shape. The Hathaway Spring Dream blouse would be fun tucked into an off white skirt. This will make the pattern pop even more. A simple go to blouse that you can pair with a fun printed skirt would be the Jade Blouse. It features a more straight silhouette, and a unique ruffle cap sleeve.
