Things to do in Michigan Summer 2023
1. Ann Arbor - This charming college town is home to the University of Michigan and boasts a lively arts scene, plenty of outdoor activities, and amazing restaurants. Stroll through the Nichols Arboretum, catch a performance at the Michigan Theater, or grab a bite to eat at Zingerman's Deli. Make a day trip to this quaint little town. 2. Bay City - Located on the banks of the Saginaw River, Bay City is a scenic spot for boating, fishing, and water sports. Don't miss the Bay City State Park for hiking swimming, or the historic downtown area for shopping and dining. It may be a small town, but Bay City has a lot to offer. Spend the day shopping and exploring the many storefronts in downtown, and finish your day grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many delicious restaurants. We recommend MI Table and Tavern 101. Make it a weekend trip and stay at the state park. While you’re in town, stop in to our Bay City location, where it all began. 3. Detroit - The Motor City has undergone a renaissance in recent years, with exciting new developments like the RiverWalk, the QLINE streetcar, and the revitalized Downtown. Check out the iconic Motown Museum, catch a Tigers game at Comerica Park, or explore the city's street art scene. If you love historic buildings and fun nightlife, Detroit is the place to be! Grab your girls and plan a weekend this summer. There’s so much to do, including visiting the Barcade and Michigan and Trumbull Pizza.
4. Upper Peninsula - For a true escape into nature, head to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. You'll find stunning lakes, forests, and waterfalls, as well as charming small towns like Munising and Marquette. It may be a drive, but it’s worth it. The upper peninsula is full of so much natural beauty. Grab the family and hit the road. If you love to kayak, definitely, don’t miss Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore!
